SCFA & Part-Time Parity & Respect
In 2025-2026, SCFA had its first part-time faculty President, Judith Kreft and the Union as a whole rallied around part-time parity. Full-time faculty at Sierra value equal pay for equal work, too. They chose part-time parity as a top issue in all three surveys given by SCFA in ’25-’26. SCFA is committed to working toward equity and raising pay and working conditions for all.

In 2026, SCFA received an award from the Community College Association for converting the most FT faculty to active membership, across all CCA chapters.
