Local Organization

SCFA is a democratic Union in which our active dues-paying members vote and elect a team of five Executive Board members and twelve Representatives. Each Representative advocates for a segment of our bargaining unit by communicating with them, learning about their work, and helping them understand the parts of the Contract that are especially relevant to them.

Additionally, there is an appointed Dispute Resolution Officer who manages elevated contractual disputes, a Bargaining Team that negotiates on our behalf, and a few standing and ad-hoc committees that carry out key work. Leaders come together to discuss and take action on Union work at bimonthly Representative Council meetings during the academic year. Members are invited to join us.
