SCFA is the Union of full- and part-time faculty working across campuses in Rocklin, Truckee, Grass Valley and online at Sierra College. We’re with the Community College Association, the California Teacher’s Association, and the National Education Association. Come join us!

Join SCFA through the Community College button on CTA’s website. After you complete the form and it’s processed, you’ll get a confirmation email. SCFA and Sierra’s Human Resources office will be notified and dues will begin being automatically deducted from your paycheck.
Get a Membership Card
CTA mails new and rejoining members Union cards after they join. Active dues-paying members with no lapses are sent their annual membership cards in August in the September issue of Educator Magazine.
How Much are Dues?
Full-Time Faculty
- Dues for SCFA are $10.00 a month
- Dues for CCA are $9.90 a month
- Dues for CTA are $85.80 a month
- Dues for NEA are $21.90 a month
- Total: $127.60
Part-Time Faculty
- Dues for SCFA are $4.00 a month
- Dues for CCA are $4.95 a month
- Dues for CTA are $10.38 a month
- Dues for NEA are $7.23 a month
- Total: $26.56
What Will I/We Get?
SCFA
- Members are eligible to vote, serve on committees, and run for office
- They can participate in CCA, CTA, and NEA conferences and get training, network with other Unions, be in community, and gain professional development, and in some cases university credit
- They are eligible to be considered as SCFA delegates and be supported to attend CCA and CTA conferences, and represent our Local
